Platypus Education Group (PEG) began life with a grant from Yarra Ranges Council in 2015, and from there we've expanded and gone from strength to strength. We aim to educate, engage and excite children, and the community, about the platypus that live in our local creeks. We do this through discussions, playground games, quizzes and more.

 

We predominantly work with schools - from kinder to high school - but we are more than happy to run workshops with community groups, scout groups, homeschools, etc. We can also be found at many great festivals and events throughout the year.

 

The PEG educators are made up of professional biologists, teachers, childcare workers, performers and environmentalists. Together we combine our skills to create fun activities that kids of all ages will enjoy and learn from.
